Jordan has attended Moving The Goalposts since he was just 11 years old.
His parents were so impressed with the coaches that they would travel to other areas being targeted by MTGP after it had left their area in an effort to continue Jordan’s footballing education with MTGP’s coaches and to avoid the temptation of hanging out with his friends who were regularly getting into trouble.
Jordan formed a close relationship with the coaches and he became a volunteer with MTGP despite his footballing career taking off and capturing the attention of a large number of English football clubs.
Making History….
Jordan became the youngest ever professional football player to play in a Scottish League match, aged 14 years and 199 days, when he played for Airdrie Football club.

Jordan made his international debut playing in a European qualifier for Scotland Under 17’s and scored in a 4-0 win away to Gibraltar. Jordan is regarded by many experts as a player to watch and a future full international Scotland cap.
Jordan’s parents say…
‘Jordan was being pressured by his friends to hang around the streets and go to parties. This football project (MTGP) gave him the excuse and credibility to say no to the peer pressure he was being put under by his friends to hang around with them at night. We can’t thank the coaches at Moving the Goalposts enough.
Over the years they have looked after our boy and this has given Jordan the opportunity to keep out of trouble by giving him a platform to express his talents in a safe and fun environment.
We are very grateful and so is Jordan’. Jordan’s mum
Jordan was the subject of a 2 page article in a national newspaper, the Sunday Mail, highlighting his potential as a full Scotland football internationalist of the future.
Following its publication, Jordan contacted MTGP to apologise that the paper had not printed his acknowledgement of MTGP’s important part in his progression.
Jordan says….
‘It was quite strange to be interviewed by a paper that you, your family and friends read all the time.
It was humbling to read what they had printed but I was also annoyed that they did not include my time with Moving the Goalposts as I believe the coaches played a very important part in my development.
I regularly travelled with my parents to wherever Moving the Goalposts was working and before signing for Wolves I was helping to coach some of the younger people who attended MTGP, which I loved.
All I can say is a big thank you for all your help and I can’t wait to pop back up to Hamilton and see all the coaches again’. Jordan
