Brogan and Cody

Brogan and Cody: Two Sisters From Fernhill

2 long term attendees of MTGP from Fernhill area of Rutherglen have shown such aptitude to being coached by MTGP that they signed professional contracts with the leading Women’s Football Club in Scotland, Glasgow City Ladies.

Brogan and Cody’s family had attempted to find a club to provide coaching for the girls but had failed to do so prior to attending at MTGP.

The coaches quickly identified that both sisters had the necessary skills and aptitude to be a success in football and were happy to provide intensive coaching programs aimed at developing their football skills when Brogan and Cody attended at MTGP.

Brogan and Cody have attended at MTGP since MTGP’s very first week of activity in 2008. Their aunt is seen on the first MTGP DVD, stating that MTGP was the only activity that the girls and her elder son wanted to attend. They enjoyed their time with MTGP so much, that she would contact MTGP to see what areas they were targeting when MTGP was not in their area. She could then attend at those locations with Brogan, Cody and her son.

Glasgow City score 26 in Scottish Women’s Cup win over East Kilbride

Glasgow City skipper Leanne Ross scored nine as the Scottish Women’s Cup holders thrashed East Kilbride 26-0. Three short of City’s record win.

Experienced Scotland striker Ross scored the first of her nine goals for Premier League leaders City after two minutes. It was 10-0 when East Kilbride lost goalkeeper Amy Hiddleton to injury. Ross, who has 122 international caps, completed her scoring with the 25th goal of the day, with Sarah Crilly finishing off the rout for a hat-trick. Erin Cuthbert and Brogan Hay also grabbed three goals apiece.

Glasgow City represented Scotland in the UEFA Women’s Champions League with Brogan making her European debut in the Round of 32 against Eskilstuna United of Sweden. This was the highest stage of the elite competition that Glasgow City have qualified for in their history.
