Young People

The following are just a few of the recent testimonies received from the young people who attend at MTGP:

A great project and I get a buzz when it’s here. We can have a laugh with the coaches and hang out with guys who respect us. We enjoy the banter with them, usually the police are stopping us and moving us on. It just feels good to be able to hang around, have a laugh and listen to what the coaches are saying.

They even stopped a drunk  man coming over wanting to fight with us. He was shouting and threatening us. The coaches spoke to him and told him we had been with them all night and that he was shouting at the wrong boys. He said sorry and went home. If coaches weren’t there it could have got out of hand. Kai (17) Hillhouse

What a great project. When it’s here we all feel we are part of something. We all hang around the park with the coaches, even the ones who don’t play football like it.

Its somewhere where we can all have a laugh and play football if we want to. The coaches have helped me with good advice when I needed it, big respect to them. Sandy (16), Larkhall
